Luke 15:7

Luke 15:7

“I say unto you, that likewise joy shall be in heaven over one sinner that repenteth more than over ninety and nine just persons, which need no repentance.” Luke 15:7

Let me introduce you to my construction supervisor. He has worked for Kibidula for over 20 years. Many years ago he was an Adventist. But somehow due to some challenge he left the church. He seemed closed to religion and didn’t like to translate spiritual things when I asked him to. When I gave out hardhats and told them to put their names on them, he labeled his JK666.

A couple months ago that hardhat disappeared and when I gave worships he was more willing to translate. Thursday morning dawned with a soaking rain, which is somewhat unusual here and only half my workers stumbled in all dripping wet. After our normal songs, I was about to say something but noticed Joel pulling out an old Bible. He said he had a testimony to share. Opening to Daniel 2:24 he began to speak. I was amazed, he had the attention of my workers more than any other person I’ve ever seen. I didn’t understand it all as it was in Swahili, but here was a man who had shuffled his feet and looked embarrassed to translate a few words, powerfully giving a Bible story. He showed no fear as he presented with a smile on his face. The workers seemed warmed by the message even as the rain still stood on their faces, and my heart was deeply warmed by the transformation I was witnessing.

Please continue to pray for Joel that he be fully reunited with the Adventist church and his Savior. Pray for each one of us here at Kibidula. There is a mighty work to do, and we all need help and strength. And take a minute to rejoice with us in the hearts and lives that are being reached.

Vehicle Update: We want to thank each one of you that have generously given to our vehicle project. We are deeply grateful for your generosity, and we are pleased to say we have reached 50% of our goal.
